The fields behind the church were bought some years ago by the Parish Council.
They are maintained as a wildlife reserve by a working group of local residents and are open to all, with wheelchair and buggy access.
They are a major asset for the village, and were adopted as a Jubilee Park by the Lord Lieutenant.
