Exeter Hall

Exeter Hall is a fine modern building located opposite the Library, on the main Oxford Road through Kidlington and close to the High Street. It comprises a large hall complete with stage and adjoining bar and catering facilities; a small hall; committee room and parish offices. The Kidlington Information Centre and Cherwell District Council also have office provision.

The management committee aims to provide the best venue in Kidlington for social activities and support for all members of the community.

The Hall is made available to:

• Kidlington based charities - Evergreens, Lunch Club, Charity Bingo.
• For hire - Parties, weddings, conferences etc.
• Parish meetings
• Community events - Variety Show, New Year's Eve Dance

The small hall and committee room are also available for hire.

The Revenue raised helps to offset the cost of staff plus security and the upkeep of the hall.

We seek to provide a balance between what the local residents think is a fair charge for the hire of the hall and at the same time attract commercial organisations to hire the hall and the many facilities available to them.

1. Present Performance
   • Help and advice is given by staff to any prospective user of the hall. The booking form offers an opportunity for comments/suggestions to improve our facility.
   • Services provided include bar and/or catering services plus a range of audio visual facilities.
   • A detailed account of the activities of the Exeter Hall Committee is presented at meetings of the committee. At the annual parish meeting we invite all those present to ask questions or make suggestions for consideration by our committee at a future meeting.
   • Charges are kept under constant review.
2. Plans for improvement
   • We are constantly seeking to improve our facilities and compete with comparable venues within the local area, and are setting up a local venues liaison group.
   • In order that the hall will meet the needs of the public in future years we have established an improvement fund and updating and alterations are carried out when required.

MAIN HALL (Minimum hire charge 3 hours)

• Monday - Friday. (until 6.00 pm ) £ 20.00 per hour
• Sat, Sun & Bank Hols (until 6.00 pm ) £ 30.00 per hour
• Monday - Thursday (after 6.00 pm ) £ 30.00 per hour
• Friday & Saturday evening hire (6.00 pm - Midnight) £ 210.00
• Sunday evening hire (6.00 - 11.00 pm) £ 120.00

SMALL HALL - COMMITTEE ROOM (Minimurn hire charge of £24.00)

• Monday - Friday (until 6.00 p.m. ) per hour £ 10.00
• Monday - Friday (after 6.00.p.m.) per hour £12.00
• Sat, Sun & Bank Hols. per hour £ 12.00

KITCHEN

A booking form must be returned in all cases within 2 weeks of receipt

A booking deposit of £25.00 for Small Hall/Committee Room and £50.00 for Main Hall will secure your booking.

The balance will be required one week prior to the event.
